Cold pressed walnut oil is high in polyunsaturated fatty acids, including alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), an essential omega-3 fatty acid that has numerous health benefits. It is commonly used as a finishing oil for salads, pasta dishes, and baked goods, as well as for cooking, but has a relatively low smoke point, so it is not suitable for high-heat cooking methods.
