A1Jewellers shares the heritage of a family of jewellers from over half a century ago. It all started around 1950 in Meerak, a village nearly 100 miles from Lahore the capital of Punjab province in Pakistan. Mian Ghulam Rasool the eldest son of Mian Siraaj-Ul-Haq started working as an apprentice with a skilled goldsmith who is locally known as “Sunaar” and was the economists of that time, investment bankers or saving bankers. People used to buy gold or leave their gold and money with these craftsmen and use it whenever they would need it. Huge piles of books known as “Wahi”, a logbook of customers were kept for every surrounding village.
