The Sundarakanda is focuses primarily on the journey of Hanuman, the monkey god and devotee of Lord Rama, to the island of Lanka. Hanuman’s mission is to find Sita and convey Rama’s message to her. This chapter is known for its poetic beauty, as well as its depiction of Hanuman’s courage, strength, and devotion.
