Procter & Gamble Appoints Shailesh Jejurikar as CEO, Replacing Jon Moeller

Procter & Gamble (P&G) has announced that Shailesh Jejurikar will succeed Jon Moeller as CEO, effective January 1, 2026. Jejurikar, currently serving as P&G’s Chief Operating Officer, will be the first Indian and Asian to lead the 187-year-old consumer goods giant. Moeller will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.

Shailesh Jejurikar’s Career at P&G

Jejurikar joined P&G in 1989 as an Assistant Brand Manager in India. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles across multiple P&G businesses, including Health & Beauty Care, Home Care, Fabric Care, and P&G Professional. Prior to his current role as COO, he was the Chief Executive Officer of P&G’s largest business sector, Fabric & Home Care, which includes brands like Tide, Ariel, Downy, Gain, Febreze, and Swiffer.

As COO, Jejurikar has had profit/loss responsibility for P&G’s Enterprise Markets, encompassing Latin America, India, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. He has also led Information Technology, Global Business Services, Sales, Market Operations, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Distribution, and New Business for the company.
