The third day of Navaratri, called Tritiya, is dedicated to Goddess Chandraghanta, the third form of Goddess Durga. She is depicted with a crescent moon on her forehead, riding a tiger, and symbolizes bravery and serenity. The sound of her bell is said to ward off evil spirits and grant protection.

This day represents courage, grace, and the victory of good over evil. Devotees often wear yellow attire, decorate homes with yellow flowers, observe fasting, and perform prayers seeking peace, protection, and fearlessness.
