B-2 tourist visa

The B-2 tourist visa is a non-immigrant visa for individuals traveling to the United States for pleasure or medical treatment. It allows individuals to enter the U.S. temporarily for leisure activities such as tourism, visiting friends and relatives, or medical treatment.

The B-2 visa does not permit an individual to work or study in the U.S. The length of stay for a B-2 visa holder depends on the nature of their trip but is generally limited to 6 months or less.

To be eligible for a B-2 visa, an individual must demonstrate that they have a foreign residence and the intention to return to it after their temporary stay in the U.S. They must also prove that the purpose of their trip is solely for tourism or medical treatment and that they have the necessary funds to support themselves without receiving payment from a U.S. source.
