To reach Yamunotri Temple, one has to undertake a trek of around 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) from the town of Hanuman Chatti. The trek takes you through scenic landscapes, including dense forests and gushing streams. Ponies and palanquins are also available for those who prefer not to walk.
