Dr. Subash Giri is a community-based multilingual and multi-instrumental musician, music educator, ensemble director, ethnomusicologist, and award-winning researcher. He received his PhD in Music (Ethnomusicology) from the University of Alberta. He also holds degrees in Hindustani Classical Voice (M MUS) and Music Management (M MUS MGMT) from University of Agder, Norway. Dr. Giri has been an Assistant Lecturer of Indian Music Ensemble (IME) at the Department of Music, University of Alberta, from May 2019 to present.
