Vijayalakshmi Balaji, the granddaughter of Kalaimamani Mannargudi Sambasiva Bhagavathar, is a skilled Carnatic vocalist, teacher, and Harikatha artist. She holds a Masters in Music and has excelled in Carnatic vocal, earning a high rank. She is a disciple of Smt. Lalitha Sivakumar, who is the daughter-in-law of Smt. D.K. Pattammal and the mother and Guru of Smt. Nithyasree Mahadevan. Vijayalakshmi Balaji has more than 12 years of teaching experience in Carnatic vocal and has performed concerts in both the USA and India. Currently, she conducts the classes.
