Detailed Information

The Jain community of Cincinnati and Dayton established a Jain center in 1978 with 20 families, focusing on inviting spiritual leaders, promoting Jainism, and celebrating Jain festivals. Under the leadership of late Acharya Sushil Muni, the center purchased 11 acres of land and built the first Jain temple in Southwest Ohio, with the Bhoomi Poojan taking place in 1994 and the inauguration and Pratishtha ceremony occurring in 1995. The Jain Center of Cincinnati and Dayton organizes various activities to foster Jain doctrines and beliefs, including inviting speakers for Jain events, engaging both adults and youth in celebrations, participating in essay contests, attending summer camps, and actively involving youths in conventions and committee roles.
