Detailed Information

Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan (1908-1988) was a Gnani who devoted His life to perpetuating the religion of the Soul. His life’s spiritual mission arose from two intents, that:

1) May all the people of world live in peace and happiness, and

2) May those who so desire attain Moksha (liberation from the cycle of birth and death).

The Trimandir is the innovative temple concept of Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan. Herein, the Lords of the three major religions in India, namely Jainism, Shaivism, and Vaishnavism (along with Gods and Goddesses from other religions) are brought together on the same platform, thus making it a one-of-a-kind non-sectarian temple. The temple design allows the worship of these Lords in one place, at one time. Thus, worshippers are rewarded with two experiences: One is the eradication of deep-seethed opinions of religious differences (the base of all religious feelings of separation) and another is spiritual progress.

Param Pujya Dadashri observed that the world’s religious paths and sectarian groups had developed ‘mine versus yours’ prejudices, which had become a source of conflict within society, thus supporting sectarianism.

With the intent to remove these differences and bring religions back to the seat of the Soul, Param Pujya Dadashri conceived the Trimandir (three-temples-unified-in-one) for impartial reverence, the distinct non-sectarian temple in India. In a Trimandir, Gods of Jainism, Shaivism, and Vaishnavism (along with Gods and Goddesses from other religions) share equal reverence on the same platform.

In reality, the core intent of all these Lords is the same: To realize your true Self, the Soul (Self Realization). Lord Mahavir’s deshna (speech of the Omniscient One) is entirely about the Soul, which is also exactly what Lord Krishna refers to in the entire Bhagavad Gita. And finally, in order to propagate the ultimate reality of ‘I am the pure Soul’, the difference between Jiva and Shiva needs to be eradicated. This is what a visitor gains with the grace of all Lords housed in the Trimandir on the same platform.
