Shree Swaminarayan Mandir – Kadi was first built with the divine blessings of Sadguru Shree Nirgundasji Swamibapa just over a hundred years ago.Shree Nirgun Bapa blessed Gopallalbhai,to become Governor and according to divine blessings, Gopallalbhai became Governor. Gopallalbhai purchased a piece of land and the Kadi Mandir was constructed. In Samvat 1948, Ashad Sud 2, Sadguru Shree Nirgundasji Swamibapa performed the Murti Pratishtha of Lord Shree Swaminarayan. The main Murti at this time was a gold and silver gilded, embossed profile of Lord Swaminarayan with a rose in His hand, situated in an intricately carved wooden sinhasan. The Mandir was built entirely of wood and comprised of intricately carved pillars, arches, ceilings and mouldings according to the shilp shashtras. The charge of the Mandir went to Sadguru Shree Madhavjeevandasji Swami. His two sants, Sadguru Shree Vrundavandasji Swami and Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami subsequently took responsibility for the services to the Lord in the newly constructed Mandir. But it was Shree Dharmavallabhdasji Swami who primarily lived and looked after the Kadi Mandir.
