Established in 1918 and located in Tbilisi, Georgia, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is the oldest in the Caucasus region and Georgia. It was founded by Georgian historian and academic Ivane Javakhishvili. The university has six faculties covering humanities, law, economics, business, medicine, and social and political sciences. It also boasts a scientific library, seven museums, 60 research labs, and international affiliations with institutions like UNESCO, the University of Saarland in Germany, Brunel University in the UK, and the Association of European Universities, among others.
