The building in which these government officials work is also referred to as an embassy. The embassy serves as a focal point for political exchange and is usually located in the capital of the host country. It is led by an ambassador, who represents the country’s head of state and conducts as well as overseas business on their behalf.
The ambassador is responsible for maintaining and expanding relations with its host country, as well as gathering critical information and reporting back to the country it represents. India’s Embassy Ambassadors are also in charge of protecting and providing information and assistance to their country’s citizens living abroad.
