Description
On the seventh day, devotees worship Maa Kalarātri (also called Mahākālī) — the fiercest form of Durga. She is dark and formidable, riding a donkey, wielding weapons in some hands while the others are in mudras of protection and blessings.
Her power destroys ignorance, fear, and evil — giving courage to her devotees. Offerings include fierce prayers, flowers, and bhog; the color often associated is a deep blue / dark shade.
