It can cause severe pain, vision loss, and even blindness. Orbital cellulitis:This is an infection of the tissues around the eyes, usually caused by a bacterial infection of the sinuses or teeth. It can cause swelling, pain, fever and blurred vision. Treatment of eye infections includes antibiotics, antivirals, or antifungals, as well as support measures such as warm compresses, artificial tears, and avoiding contact lenses and eye makeup. If you suspect an eye infection, it’s important to see a doctor right away to prevent complications and get proper treatment.
