Aman Sehrawat, Sarabjot Singh, Manu Bhaker, Neeraj Chopra, and the Indian hockey team all contributed to the six medals—five of which were bronze and two of which were silver—and provided cause for celebration.
Both the six medals that made Indians happy and the six heartbreaking fourth-place finishes will live on in the memories of Paris 2024.
Although the country’s celebrations were tempered by the fact that it won one fewer medal than it did in the previous edition, the diverse array of victories and close calls demonstrate the promise that Indian sports have.
