The Indian Super League (ISL) is India’s professional soccer league. Founded in 2013 and  organized by Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL). The league consists of 11 teams representing different cities across India and runs from November to he March each year. The ISL follows a round-robin format, followed by playoffs and finals to determine the champion team. The ISL has helped popularize football in India and attract top international players to the league. It  also helps in developing and developing young  football players in India. The league is heavily invested and corporate backed, contributing to the popularization of the sport in India.
