Jain Population

Jainism is a minority religion with a relatively small population worldwide. According to the 2021 estimates by the World Religion Database, there are approximately 5.3 million Jains globally, making up about 0.07% of the world’s population.

Most Jains live in India, with significant Jain communities also found in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other parts of the world. In India, the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Karnataka have the highest population of Jains.

While the Jain population is small, Jains have made significant contributions to Indian culture and society, particularly in the fields of commerce, education, and philanthropy. Jain temples and institutions are also known for their intricate architecture and beautiful artwork, attracting visitors from around the world.
