Kedareswara Vratam

Kedareswara vratam is performed by the Goddess Parvatidevi herself. Goddess Parvati gained half of Lord Shiva’s portion by performing this vratam. This vratam is notable for converting Parameswara into Arthanariswara. The lord and the goddess are both given equal importance in the Kedareswara vratam. Anyone can perform this vratam. Couples who perform this vratam are blessed with ideal marital life, just as Lord Kedareswara blessed Umadevi. They will also be blessed with good children. They will have no cause for concern. In their homes, they have peace and wealth. Lord Shiva bestows prosperity and wealth. He is the supreme lord of education and knowledge. The goddess is said to have ordered that this vratam be performed on Astami tithi in sukla paksha (Bright forth night) in the month of Aswayuja, according to the scripture.
