Every year, around 4000 children across India are formally being adopted. In recent times, pandemic situations had a major role in the delay of the adoption process.
The adoption process in India follows the guidelines regulated by the “Central Adoption Resource Authority” (CARA), a nodal agency for adoptions across India and a legal body of the Ministry for Women & Child Development by the Government of India.
