PM Modi Praises Indian Diaspora for Strengthening India-France Ties

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Indian diaspora in France for its contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries during his visit to Paris. After attending the G7 Summit, Modi received a warm welcome from the Indian community and expressed pride in their efforts to bring India and France closer together. He noted that the India-France partnership holds significance not just for both nations but also for addressing global challenges through cooperation and innovation.

The Indian diaspora has played a significant role in enhancing people-to-people connections, cultural exchanges, and economic engagement, contributing to the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the visit, India’s participation in VivaTech 2026 — one of Europe’s largest technology and innovation events — is expected to highlight India’s rapidly growing digital economy, vibrant startup ecosystem, and advancements in emerging technologies.

India and France have steadily expanded cooperation across sectors such as defence, maritime security, renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. Recent initiatives including the India-France Innovation Roadmap 2030 and collaborations in research, technology, and skilling have further strengthened the strategic partnership.
