In 2013, the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) served as the summit’s organising partner. The 11th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas was held in Kochi from January 7–9 of that year. Rajkeswur Purryag, the president of Mauritius, attended the official inauguration ceremony as the session’s chief guest. Jason Kenney, a Canadian minister, was the first speaker from a non-Indian background.
