Remote work, as we’ve long known, has a slew of benefits for employees. We’ve compiled a list of the finest advantages of working from home.

  • Stay home

Once comfort for few and punishment for others was something that became necessary to save several lives, and Work from home was a rescue for a lot of sectors that could shift.

  • Stay Close to family

In a crisis time, family is the one part of our lives that stands strong and long. With the parents working from home and children enjoying the benefit of e-learning, all the families witnessed warmth and hopefulness from each other.

  • Take a break and change your routine

Our brain loves patterns and routines more than we think it does. This pandemic bringing with it the work from home culture lets people take a break from their daunting schedules and opt for some flexibility in the day. This, in turn, boosted our productivity.

  • See a more inclusive team

One of the main advantages of working from home is having the flexibility to hire diverse talent and collaborate with them on projects.

This not only boosts the diversity of the team and gives a more inclusive atmosphere but brings forward a new voice, a new opinion, and a new thought.

Let’s have a look at some disadvantages we had to adjust to because of lack of options during the pandemic,

  • Lack of resources

Well, not every job can be performed with a laptop and an internet connection. People have traveled to different countries to attain the best research equipment and conditions.

They either had to adjust with yet another virtual simulation or wait endlessly in the hopes of continuing their work.

  • Not getting enough exercise

When you sit at a place, eat work and don’t entertain any activity, and live like it’s a Sunday every day a week, it takes a toll on your health.

Just traveling to the office was enough of an exercise for some of them.

  • Too much dependency on devices

It felt pretty normal to feel tied upto your electronic gadgets every day. Work was one place where the dependency on these devices could have been avoided.

  • Not having the chance of learning from peers.

Learning by observing people and having conversations with your work colleagues took up a good amount of percentage in the growth diagram.

With work-from-home meetings being up to the point because of busy schedules, a lot of people are losing out on the opportunity of meeting smart peers around them.
