According to recent estimates, the global Sikh population is around 30 million, with the majority living in India. India has the largest Sikh population, with approximately 25 million Sikhs, making up around 1.7% of the country’s total population.
Outside of India, there are significant Sikh populations in other countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The UK has the largest Sikh population outside of India, with approximately 700,000 Sikhs living there. Canada has the second-largest Sikh population outside of India, with around 500,000 Sikhs living there. The United States has an estimated Sikh population of around 500,000 as well.
Sikhs are a minority religious group in most of the countries where they live, and they have often faced discrimination and persecution. Despite this, Sikhs have made significant contributions to the societies in which they live, particularly in the fields of business, education, and politics.
