Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Four Seasons, Indian American Sudhakar Veluru

He has worked at MGM Resorts International and The Walt Disney Company, and he has a wealth of experience in technology and innovation in the hospitality and technology sectors.
Four Seasons has named Sudhakar Veluru as its executive vice president and chief information technology officer, the upscale hotel chain announced yesterday, March 25. The Indian American member of the Four Seasons Executive Leadership Team, based in the company’s corporate office in Miami, Florida, answers to President and CEO Alejandro Reynal. According to a Four Seasons press release, Veluru is “responsible for the company’s global information technology infrastructure and transformation” in his capacity as CITO.
Veluru has “extensive experience and expertise in driving digital and information technology transformation initiatives within the hospitality and technology sectors,” according to the company, which highlights the breadth of his two-decade career. “His hiring highlights Four Seasons’ dedication to updating and bolstering its capacities to further develop a single-view of visitors and residents while strengthening core support functions throughout the organisation globally.”
“Our digital-first future will be shaped by Veluru’s extensive experience in technology and IT innovation, further enhancing the guest, resident, and employee experience across our growing global portfolio of luxury properties,” Reynal stated in a company announcement.
“An iconic brand renowned for its unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence” is how Veluru described Four Seasons. He added that he is excited to be joining a talented team of experienced leaders from around the world. We will work together to drive IT and technology innovations that will improve the visitor and resident experience while laying the vital groundwork and developing the essential skills required to sculpt Four Seasons’ future.”
Prior to joining Four Seasons, Veluru was chief technology officer at MGM Resorts International. According to the company, he “led groundbreaking digital transformation work enabling seamless access to customer loyalty programmes, casino games, and e-commerce across mobile and online platforms.” He “delivered innovative technology solutions and products for various functions including MyMagic+, FP+/MagicBands, ShopDisney, CruiseLines, and Vacation Club” at The Walt Disney Company prior to his time at MGM. He also held several senior leadership positions there.
He graduated from Arizona State University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur, India, with a Master of Technology (MTech). He holds certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and an Enterprise Architect (SCJEA, Sun Certified Java Enterprise Architect).
